Brentwood Construction & Demolition Mini-plants

Our range of C&D Mini Plants are designed for sorting and sizing of construction and demolition waste streams. The range of plants are designed to offer the operator a selection of plants which are designed to suit a particular operation and material input specification.

This C&D waste stream is typically collected in open skip bins from construction or demolition sites and generally will include:

  • Concrete rubble (up to approximately 250mm)
  • Timber waste (in length up to approximately 1500mm)
  • Masonry products eg tiles, slate, rocks and stones (up to approximately 250mm)
  • Dirt and soils
  • Other materials such as plastics, glass, building panel boards, insulation etc, which may be considered waste or a resource depending on volumes and local markets.

Machinery Description

Trommel Screens

  • Supported on concrete walls provided by client
  • Variable speed electrical controller
  • Rolled and welded cylindrical shape drum from 10mm thick mild steel plate drum with internal spiral
  • Steel plate cover for noise and dust suppression
  • Feed via infeed chute
  • Friction drive (two rubber wheels for trommel drum)
  • Single electric drive (one for trommel drum) by shaft mounted motor gearbox.
  • EXCLUDED: cleaning brushes, air dust extraction, walkways, internal lifting bars

Picking Belt

  • 900mm wide 3 ply rubber belt,
  • Flat belt, supported on steel plates construction
  • Variable speed electrical controller

Magnet

  • Included only for plants denoted with model includes “M” suffix
  • Permanent pulley magnet in head pulley of picking conveyor
  • Includes aluminium chute to direct ferrous items to bin under

Picking Station

  • Fabricated steel structure with 6mm floor plate walkways both sides of the conveyor
  • Includes railings, gate and ladder access both sides of the conveyor to Australian Standards
  • Overhead emergency stop pull wire

Production Rate

  • All of the C&D Mini Plants are rated at a throughput of 30T/hr based on C&D material with a bulk density of 1200kgs/m3

BRS CD 1  – C&D Mini Sorting Plant

3m long x 1.5m diameter trommel with 5.4 meter picking area – 6 positions. The trommel is mounted on concrete bund walls and picking station is mounted on a steel frame. Standard screen size is 30mm however other sizes available on request.

BRS CD 1 M – C&D Mini Sorting Plant

3m long x 1.5m diameter trommel with 5.4 meter picking area – 6 positions.  The trommel is mounted on concrete bund walls and picking station is mounted on a steel frame.  Standard screen size is 30mm however other sizes available on request.  Magnetic separation is included using magnetic head pully which discharges into the bin below.

BRS CD 2 – C&D Mini Sorting Plant

3m long x 1.5m diameter trommel with 5.6 meter picking area – 4 positions. The trommel is mounted on concrete bund walls and picking station is mounted on concrete bund walls. Standard screen size is 30mm however other sizes available on request.

BRS CD 2 M – C&D Mini Sorting Plant

3m long x 1.5m diameter trommel with 5.6 meter picking area – 4 positions. The trommel is mounted on concrete bund walls and picking station is mounted on concrete bund walls. Standard screen size is 30mm however other sizes available on request. Magnetic separation is included using magnetic head pully which discharges into the bin below.

BRS CD 3 M – C&D Mini Sorting Plant

6m long x 1.5m diameter trommel with 5.6 meter picking area – 4 positions. The trommel is mounted on concrete bund walls and picking station is mounted on concrete bund walls. Standard screen is split  30mm and 50mm however other sizes available on request. Magnetic separation is included using magnetic head pully which discharges into a bin below.
