Bronneberg Industrial Cable Strippers for Scrap Cable Recycling

A heavy duty industrial cable stripper is a powered cable stripping machine designed to quickly remove insulation from copper and aluminium cables so you can recover clean metal for recycling. Unlike handheld tools, industrial cable stripping machines use driven rollers and knives to process high volumes of cable safely and consistently.

Bronneberg splits the range by cable diameter and construction:

• KAB-V – compact table-top cable stripper for approx. 2–40 mm outer diameter cables (single-core and small multicore).

• KAB-X – high-throughput cable stripper for approx. 2–90 mm PVC and light armoured copper and aluminium cables.

• KAB-W – heavy duty cable stripper for heavy PVC and armoured ground/grease cables from 30–180 mm outer diameter.

If most of your scrap is small electrical cable, KAB-V is usually sufficient. Mixed light armoured and larger PVC cables suit KAB-X, while thick, underground or heavily armoured cables are typically best handled by KAB-W.

• The KAB-X can strip light armoured aluminium and copper cables up to around 90 mm in diameter.

• The KAB-W is built for heavy PVC and armoured ground/grease cables, including underground and industrial power cables up to 180 mm. Its special infeed and wheel design allows it to split heavily jacketed cables, even when contaminated with oil or grease.

For small, non-armoured building wire, the KAB-V is normally the most economical choice.

Electrical requirements depend on the model:

• KAB-V – approx. 1.1–1.5 kW, typically supplied as 240 V single phase, making it ideal as a plug-in table-top machine.

• KAB-X – approx. 3 kW, 415 V three-phase industrial power supply.

• KAB-W – heavy duty 11 kW, 415 V three-phase, for continuous operation on thick armoured and underground cables.

This allows you to match the machine to the power available at your yard or recycling plant.
