Cushion Pack machines are made in Germany and are available across Australia. These machines shred cardboard boxes and recycle them into soft, flexible packing material – helping you reduce your eco footprint and save money. Packaging padding machines let you replace bubble wrap and polystyrene with on-site, eco-friendly cardboard cushioning – reducing packaging costs and cardboard disposal at the same time.

Cushion pack shredders turn unwanted cardboard boxes into soft, pliable packaging material that is perfect as a bubble wrap substitute and for void fill. Cushion Pack cardboard packaging shredders have many advantages including easy maintenance, a built-in dust extraction assembly, robust cutting cylinders, and simple controls.
These machines can be strategically placed at the point of packing and waste cardboard can be converted as needed into soft cushioning material and void fill. With throughputs from 2m3/hr up to 10m3/hr there is a range of models suitable for packing applications from low volume to high volume.
All machines (with the exception of the CP333) produce two products by the appropriate position of a spring loaded flap at the discharge side of the machine. The products are:
- “crumpled void fill” for filling in the voids between packed goods; or
- a “flat flexible net” that can be used to separate flat objects
Some units feature a dust extraction assembly that can be connected to stand alone dust collection units.

What types of cardboard can Cushion Pack machines process?
Single/double wall cartons, up to specified thickness (12–20 mm depending on model), no pre-cutting needed.
Can the Cushion Pack machine cope with staples and tape?
While it is always best to remove very large staples, they will not damage the cutters in the machine although they will increase wear on the cutters over time. Packaging tape is no problem in these machine.

What power supply do Cushion Pack machines need?
The CP333 Nti/CP316 S2/CP320 S2i are single phase machines requiring a standard 240 volt outlet.
The CP323 S2/CP422 S3i/CP428 S3i/CP430 S3i are three phase machines requiring a 415V 3 phase + earth 4 pin 20 amp outlet. These machines are suppled with a plug but the plug will need to be connected by a qualified electrician to ensure that the phase rotation is correct.
What sort of material does the Cushion Pack machine produce?
Cushion Pack machines produce either a flat perforated mat, or a scrunched form of perforated cardboard. All machines can produce the flat mat, and with the exception of the CP333 NTi, all machines can produce the scrunched material. A flap at the back of the machine can be engaged to produce the scrunched material or or dis-engaged to produce a flat mat.
